Colleen Raney has been referred to as “among the best in her genre” (Irish Music Magazine) and “one of America’s best traditional singers” (Tradconnect) . Her ability to convey her love of Irish music makes every performance a captivating experience! Colleen was born was into a family where Irish music and dance were part of the fabric of everyday life. She began her journey as a solo artist in the traditional music world with her first album Linnet in 2008. She now has 4 CD's out, the latest being her 2013 release Here This is Home, described by Irish Music Magazine as "a rich treasure that, with the wealth of creative talent within, places the contemporary firmly within the tradition and positions Raney amongst the best in her genre". Colleen is making her first visit to the Dayton area and will perform here with her band, including Hanz Araki on flute and vocals, Bethany Waickman on guitar and Ryan Davidson on upright bass and vocals. In addition to singing, Colleen also plays guitar and bodhran.

Dulahan’s music is a Celtic hybrid that pays homage to the traditional but incorporates the varied musical influences of the four members into its unique sound. The result is a blend of creative songwriting and musical energy that draws on both contemporary and traditional Celtic, but contains subtle hints of a Roots/Americana feel as well.

The Celtic Academy of Irish Dance is one of Dayton’s fine Irish Dance schools, They strive to promote a greater understanding and appreciation of the Irish culture through dance. Many of the students compete at the local, national and international levels, and they are a joy to watch!
